How nice was it today!! I was stuck in an office all day but I loved to be able to take my boys to the park after dinner, and they loved it even more. Oh the joy to get out side and let them run and be free. It was amazing, I just hope it stays!!!
It is funny to see Cooper at the park again...it is like he forgot what a swing was lol. He wasnt sure he wanted to get in at first. Then when I got him in he didnt want to let go of me but about 10 seconds later he realized what it was and just giggled for 5 minutes while swinging away. I love his laugh.
Steve, my cautious child, has become much more adventurous. He was climbing a lot which he never would have done last year. I know it has only been a few months since they were at the park but it feels like a year, and how different they are now makes it seem even longer ago then that!
I love spring, I just hope winter is gone for good this time.

A typical Saturday....why do I do it to myself
Well, I think I have been a little over zealous lately in planning my weekends, especially today. I actually triple booked myself and kids and semi sort of pulled it off.
We started with a nice and bright morning of showers and cereal. Then we packed Steve off to the Brier and the kids and I started our day. Off to Walmart at 9 in the morning....wasn't too bad, not busy at all! We had to get some last minute clothes for Miss Paige's b'day party. We were rolling out right on time to head to Skating lessons, it is not often we are on time lately so this was a great start.
I never realized how tough it is to get both kids ready for lessons by yourself. I actually worked up a sweat lol. Thankfully my parents came to take them on the ice as I am not a good example to my kids when it comes to skating, I hate it! But with the boys being boys, Hockey will definately be a part of thier lives so they have to skate! Cooper has what we call Spagetti Legs and makes whoever is with him do all the work, until it comes to the time when he gets to slide across the ice. His arms are up and ready to go in a heartbeat! Stevie, always my causious child, is quite hesitant when it comes to skating. He is getting better but needs a big confidence boost! My dad thinks I dont tie his skates correctly or tight enough and that is why he does not do so well, so I am now banned from doing that lol.
After Skating my mom and I took a quick trip to Scrapbookers Paridise for stuff for my NY book. My dad got to hang out with the kids in the Van watching Wall E. I love the DVD in the car and I love even more when my dad comes to watch the kids so I dont have take them into the store lol. As we left the store we were actually early for our next outing this must be a record!
My parents took Cooper as he has to nap and would not have made it thru the day....at least not in a calm fashion if he didnt. Stevie and I headed out for lunch with some of my old friends from High School (this was my first of my triple book as I forgot about paiges bithday and they overlapped). It was wonderful, he was very well behaved and I got to catch up with my friends. But at the end of it we had 10 mins to get to our house pick up Steve and his Mom and get to Paiges party....well we were on time for half of our day...that is better then usual!
Of to our house to pick up Steve and Granny then off to the princess' party (which is happening at the same time I had booked my friends to come over and scrapbook, thus the triple book). I truely can not believe she is 6! The party was good, just the family, next weekend is the kids party. She got spoiled as usual and some of Lynns family was there to celebrate too. It was nice to see them, it has been a real long time. I had to run Steve and Granny to the train to head back to the Brier and head back to round up the kids so we can go home to scrapbook (3 hours later then planned lol)
So home we came, Michelle came over and I got 5 pages done...not bad for a few hours of scrapbooking! Now I am exhausted. Off to bed to start it all over again, we have a zoo trip at 10:00....again Why to I do it to myself....because I do it for my kids, they deserve it and the smiles when they skate, spend time with their grandparents however small it may be, get to have a one on one date with Mom, get to celebrate with their cousin and best friend and get to help mom scrapbook is enough to make we want to run again all day tomorrow!

Can you say Refridgerator??
So Stevie, Cooper and I were driving home and this is how the conversation went.
Stevie: 'Mom, Cooper doesn't talk does he?'
Mom: 'No Stevie, Cooper doesn't talk'
Stevie: 'But he can say one word, just Mom right'
Mom: 'Yes all he says is mom'
Then Stevie turns to Cooper and this is what I hear....
Stevie: 'Tooper say Stevie......Come on little buddy say Stevie.....Stevie, Stevie, Stevie'
Cooper said nothing....as usual then Stevie says:
Stevie: 'Cooper say Refrigerator'
What 4 year old trys to get their baby brother to say Refrigerator!! I almost cried I laughed so hard!!

Whats new??
Ok so I am bad at this so here we go again.
In the last year not much has changed.
I have had 3 different positions at work. An U/W, a trainer and now I am a Coach/Mentor/trainer. I love my job now and think I will stay there as long as they will keep me. I love to get up and go to work again. I know what it is like to dispise the thought of work so I am happy I found 'my place' there again. I love the people I work with especially. I really think that that is what makes a job, how you get along with the ones you work with. When you think about it I spend more time at work with them then at home with my kids and hubby (excluding sleeping of course).
The boys are getting big. Stevie will be 5 in June and I have to register him in Kindergarten. I am chuckling as I remember posting Stevies first day of preschool on here, now we are into kindergarden. Time just flies. He truly is a boys boy. Hockey is his thing right now and he is in skating lessons so he can play hockey soon. He is a very much like me when it comes to how he acts and the way he does some things. I love it!
Cooper is my little Devil. I have said it since he was born so maybe it is my own fault. He is two and doesnt say much other then 'MOM'. He does everything on his own time and own terms and does not let you push him to do anything else. He has decided this week that he goes to bed when he feels like it and not any earlier. So I put him to bed about 5 times before I give up. He hangs out with me for about 45 minutes then all by himself goes upstairs, sometimes I get a kiss, sometimes I don't. And then he is out like a light. He is very much like his dad from what I hear from my mother in law. It is funny how two kids can be so different from each other but so much like one of their parents.
Steve and I are off on a cruise next month for my best friends wedding. 8 full days with no kids, I am going to love it and hate it all in one. I dont like leaving the boys but it just makes me want to come home all that much more. I really dont like boats so I am extremely nervous about this and if it wasnt Sarah getting married I probably would not go. I know the ship is huge but I really really really do not like boats. Steve on the other hand is extremely excited and can not wait....I will be packing the gravol!
Alright thats enough for tonight. I am sure everyone gave up on me blogging, I had given up on it myself but I am trying again.
